Task 1 (With count nouns and with non count nouns)

1. He doesn’t have (Many/Much) money.

Reason :
The answer is much. Because money is something we can’t count by it’s physical form. We count money by it’s value, which is written on them. For example, ‘we have 1 million rupiah and it consist of 10 pieces of 100.000 rupiah’ , it means we don’t count the 10 pieces but we count the value of 100.000  rupiah multipled by ten. The conclusion is, money is a non countable noun so it use much to explain the amount of them.

Task 2 (Using The, a, an Or not using The, a, an)

5. When you go to  the  store, please buy a  bottle of ___ chocolate milk and  a   dozen oranges.

Reason :
>> First article is the. The has no meaning, but it make the sentence focused to something after the. In this case, after the is store. It means the make the sentences focused to discuss what thing to do when he/she is on the store.

>> the article a is used before singular nouns or countable nouns which started with consonants. So it means we use a before bottle because it’s singular noun, and before dozen because it’s countable noun. (dozen = 12 pieces)

>> Blank space on above sentence is because no article is necessary. The word ‘chocolate milk’ already included as a part of ‘bottle’ and the article was used before the word ‘bottle’. So it doesn’t need another article on ‘chocolate milk’

Task 3 ( count and non-count nouns)

6. Six people were in the store. Two were buying meat.   Another   was looking at magazines. Another   was eating candy bar.   The other   were walking around looking for more food.

Reason :
>> Another is used before singular nouns or an additional. From above sentence, the word ‘was looking’ and ‘was eating’ means it was one of six people in the store and also a singular noun. So we use another on each blank spaces.

>> The other can be used by singular or plural noun, countable and non-countable noun and shows the remaining things in a set. From above sentence the other shows the rest of people in the store.
